Developments and letters

September 2022 - December 2022

On September 3, 2022, I will write a letter on equality between the Caribbean Netherlands and the European Netherlands, partly in response to questions raised on this subject by GroenLinks.

On September 6, 2022, I write a letter about the barely improving healthcare organization on St. Eustatius (SEHCF).

On September 12, 2022, in a letter (perhaps redundantly), I raise the difference between CAS and BES, and emphasize that Caribbean Dutch and European Dutch are actually the same kind of Dutch living in the same country.

On September 20, I write about the decelopments on the collective labour agreements of the teaching staff in the Caribbean Netherlands, or more specifically: St. Eustatius. This is the letter, and this is the in-depth appendix.

On Sept. 24, I write a letter about three abuses: the AOW/AOV, the increase in the tax-free base, and the authority of the governor in closing drug premises.

On September 29, I write another letter, this time triggered by the motion as recently submitted by Koos Sneek, member of the Island Council of St. Eustatius

On October 5, 2022, I will write a plea for a social minimum for the Caribbean Netherlands identical to that of (European, or: all of) the Netherlands.

On October 11, 2022, I will write a letter about the differences in legislation between the two Netherlands. This has to change!

On October 15, 2022, I write a letter with again a plea to consider the Caribbean Netherlands (also in this respect) as an integral part of the country of the Netherlands.

On October 16, 2022, I write a letter to the effect that intereiland traffic -- both flying and sailing -- should also be organized by The Hague (as a PSO -- public service obligation).

On October 20, 2022, I write an email to the effect of properly positioning intereiland traffic to qualify for a PCA.

On October 28, 2022, I will write a letter about the (unjustified) disparity between AOW and AOV.

On October 31, 2022, I write a letter in response to reading the book "Ongemak" (ISBN 978 90 446 4926 0). Highly recommended!

On November 3, 2022, I will write a letter on how a bright new future can develop after the surcharge affair.

On November 13, 2022, I am writing a letter in preparation for the debate on (among other things) the social domain in the Caribbean Netherlands.

On November 16, 2022, I am writing a letter in which I put the concept of "equal" critically under the magnifying glass.

On December 3, 2022, I write a letter calling attention once again to the inequality between the caribbean and european dutch.

On December 12, 2022, I write a letter reflecting on Clyde van Putten's December 8, 2022 lecture in The Hague on the commonwealth construct.

On December 16, 2022, I write a letter in which I once again urge that a number of abuses finally be put in order. As a possible cause for not energetically picking up the problems I mention the tunnel vision I suspect among officials from The Hague at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.

On December 26, 2022, I will write a letter letter addressing how to proceed after offering the national apology on the slavery past.
