Desire for autonomy

March and april 2017

On 23 March 2017, a document will be presented with a letter of offer by the governing coalition currently in power in Statia, to the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in The Hague. The document is a so-called white paper with the title "on the road to autonomy".

On 5 April the UPC (which is part of the board coalition) publicly (in the Daily Herald) dissociates itself from the presentation of the white paper to "The Hague".

In April the document Wellbeing of the people comes first! was published as a reaction of the opposition party DP to the aforementioned white paper.
